FRIENDS OF THE ORSAY AND ORANGERIE MUSEUMS

For their third trip with Arts Up, the Friends of the Orsay and Orangerie Museums travelled to Lisbon for ARCO (Contemporary Art Fair in Lisboa). They visited the Portuguese capital and its rich art collections.

Their trip began with a guided tour of the Palais Santos (French Embassy), and a reception in the gardens of the residence.

Invited by ARCO's curator team, they attended an exclusive preview of the exhibition before the public opening. The group was then welcomed by the directors of the major partner museums: : MAAT (Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology), the Chiado Museum and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, before guided tours led by experts on the collections.

The programme ended with an excursion to Cascais, where the group took advantage of a seaside lunch and a visit to a private collection.
